A PRIZE FOR OLIVE OIL

The intensity of olive oil’s positive characteristics, such as fruity, bitter and spicy, and the absence of negative characteristics, such as tangy, vinegary or musty, will determine the winners of the OLIVE OIL TROPHY Competition.

The experienced professional tasters of the Commission evaluate the olive oils participating in the competition and reward the entrepreneurs who ensure good cultivation practices, with harvesting at the appropriate maturity of the fruit, correct oiling and standardization, to produce high-quality olive oil, with a prize.

They can participate

Olive oil standardization/trading companies of any legal form, Cooperative Organizations and Producer Groups that market branded standardized extra virgin olive oils.

Application deadline – Friday 25 October 2024

Prize Categories

  • Extra Virgin Olive Oil PDO-PGI
  • Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oils and Extra Virgin Olive Oils (conventionally grown).
  • For each of the above categories and for strong, medium and soft intensity of fruitiness, awards will be given in the Gold, Silver, Bronze and Commendation categories.

 

Participation fee 150 euros, plus VAT/ per sample.

The amount due, as the case may be, can be deposited into the following bank accounts with the indication:
