Food & Drinks by Detrop will bring wonderful tastes and gastronomic experiences to Thessaloniki from 1 to 3 November 2024 at the Thessaloniki International Exhibition Centre– Thessaloniki restaurants, chefs, and bars will highlight exhibitor products through their own unique creations

Food & Drinks International Expo by Detrop, which will be held from 1 to 3 November 2024 at the Thessaloniki International Exhibition Centre, is innovating and going out on the town, offering visitors and locals the opportunity to taste its gastronomy and the creations of well-known chefs, as well as to try imaginative cocktails from bars, combining local products and flavours.

In the context of Food & Drinks International Expo by Detrop, a new project will be implemented: ‘Gastronomy EXPerience – Taste the stories’ aims to connect small and major producers and processors of unique Greek products with the top restaurants of Thessaloniki. The chefs of selected restaurants will use the fine raw materials of participating exhibitors at this year’s event to create original recipes and special dishes, which will be included and made available at restaurants and bars in special menus on specific days. The restaurants participating in the project are among top Thessaloniki eateries and their renowned chefs will prepare original and exquisite menus. More specifically, the following people and venues are involved:

– Executive Chef Apostolos Altanis, Restaurants – Alfredo΄s Grand Dining / Kipos Regency Casino Thessaloniki / Ambrosia, Hyatt Regency Thessaloniki

– Executive Chef Sotiris Evangelou, Salonica restaurant, Makedonia Palace Hotel

– Chef Dimitris Agoratzis, Glykanisos restaurant

– Chef Dimitris Kotsivos, Marea restaurant

– Chef Paraskevas Chatziaras, Iberico restaurant &

– Chef Vassilis Bousi, Prigkipas restaurant.

In addition to chefs and restaurants, Food & Drinks International Expo by Detrop is also mobilising the city’s bars, encouraging them to create a unique signature cocktail inspired by the exhibition.

The Signature Cocktail action is brining specific Thessaloniki bars to a celebration that will highlight the creativity and innovation in the beverage and catering sector, as each bar will create unique cocktails focused around cold brewing.

With the Golden Olive, Herbs & Honey, Dairy, Drinks & Wine by Oenos, All about Café, Pack & Tech, and Global & Local thematic salons, Food & Drinks International Expo by Detrop will provide its exhibitors with the opportunity for targeted promotion and to attract trade visitors from the international market.

Food & Drinks International Expo by Detrop’s side events are a point of reference, imbuing colour, flavour, and aromas to the exhibition. The largest coffee exhibition in Northern Greece, All about Café, The Pairing Bar with eight special events with top exhibitor products, the international Food Experts’ Awards (FEA), and the Golden Olive Events are just a taste of the wealth of side events.
